TARGET LEARNING GOALS:

  

  • Use tables, graphs and models to display and analyze scientific data.

Data are facts, figures and other evidence scientists gather when they conduct an investigation.  Scientists design and build tables to organize their data. They use graphs to analyze their data for patterns and trends. They also use models to make predictions before an investigation as well as to represent the results after an investigation.

 

READING ASSIGNMENTS:

  • Conduct a survey to determine the types of ice cream your friends and family prefer.  (You must poll at least 20 people.)
  • Organize the data you collected into a table.
  • Construst a bar graph or a circle graph to display your data.
